FAQ skinretin 0,3%
can I use retinol if I have sensitive skin?
skinretin 0.3% is recommended for all skin types. If your skin is sensitive, in first applications apply a moisturising cream or restorative serum before applying retinol. You can also space the application further at the beginning, leaving a two-night interval in the first week. You will be able to gradually increase the frequency of application.
what should I do if my skin suffers scaling, dryness or irritation?
Mild dryness, slight irritation and little scaling may occur. These effects are due to the process of your skin adapting to retinol; they are expected and temporary. If irritation persists, temporarily suspend the treatment.
is it normal for skin to get irritated in the first applications?
Yes, your skin is being renewed. Boost your daily routine with nourishing and restorative products to smoothen the effects of retinisation, and don't forget to use sunscreen.
at what age can a retinol treatment be initiated?
Products with retinol can be used from adolescence onwards; however, the anti-aging benefits of skinretin 0.3% are indicated for people over 30 years of age with emerging signs of aging.
can I apply retinol on the neck and neckline?
Yes, following the recommended application guidelines and respecting the retinisation process. You must bear in mind that these are sensitive areas to which you must pay special attention.
if I use a treatment with tranexamic acid, how can I incorporate retinol?
We recommend a progressive retinisation on alternate nights, and once the skin shows good retinol tolerance, we can start incorporating tranexamic acid on nights in which retinol is not applied.
is it advisable to apply a serum before skinretin 0.3%?
You can apply any moisturising or restorative serum, but we recommend applying it on its own. If your skin is sensitive, using a serum beforehand will soften the effects of retinisation.
